The new Embassy Suites by Hilton is now open in Naperville featuring a 1,000 seat banquet hall.

The hotel is located at 1813 Abriter Court. The hotel features a 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space. There are also 2 board rooms and a private dining area that can accommodate up to 60 people.

"It more than doubles the capacity at the second-largest hotel banquet center in Naperville, which seats about 500 people," said Christine Jeffries, president of the Naperville Development Partnership.

"This is a real big deal to us," Jeffries said. "A lot of events were leaving town solely because of the banquet size."

Large events and business conventions can find a home at the Embassy Suites which is located in Freedom Plaza. Freedom Plaza is west of Freedom Drive and just south of I-88.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton adds to total number of rooms available in Naperville bringing it to 2,100. It is the first new hotel in the city in nearly 8 years.
